Scripture never rules out the possibility that God speaks through dreams. Nate and Todd are careful, though, not to claim authority they do not have. Earlier in the episode, the panel worked through a viral sermon out of the Episcopal Church, unearthed by Protestia, in which a priest calling herself Reverend Flourish Clink argued that Jesus was transgender because his resurrected body was, in her words, different. Nate walked through why Jesus is consistently identified as male throughout Scripture, then pointed out the obvious hole in the argument: the disciples recognized the resurrected Jesus immediately, glorified body and all. Being resurrected with a slightly shinier appearance, as Nate put it, does not amount to a gender transition.
